Terms of
Service

Last updated: 29 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Weekender mobile app and website (collectively, "the Service"). By using Weekender you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. The Service

Weekender is an event discovery app for Australia. It pulls publicly available event listings, lets you swipe and save events, and helps you create shared plans with others. We are not a ticketing platform — we do not sell tickets, process payments, or guarantee availability of any event.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old to use Weekender. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You can browse events and save them to your device without an account. Creating or RSVPing to a shared plan requires you to sign in with your Google account, so we can show your name and profile photo to others in the plan. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for any use of the Service from your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Event accuracy

Event information — dates, times, venues, prices, and availability — is sourced from third-party providers and may not always be accurate or up to date. Always verify details directly with the event organiser or venue before making plans. We are not responsible for cancelled, postponed, or incorrectly listed events.

6. Plans and RSVPs

Plans created in Weekender are informal coordination tools, not bookings or reservations. An RSVP in the app does not reserve a seat, purchase a ticket, or guarantee entry to any event. Weekender accepts no liability for plans that fall through or events that don't go ahead.

7. Intellectual property

The Weekender name, logo, design, and original content are owned by Mithril Labs. Event data is sourced from third-party providers under their respective terms. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the Service without permission.

8. Availability

We do our best to keep the Service running, but we make no guarantees about uptime or availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Weekender and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including losses resulting from inaccurate event listings, cancelled events, or reliance on plans made through the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new terms.
